Speaking of drinking bottles: Since our body loses up to three liters of water just through sweating when we exert ourselves, it is important to compensate for this fluid loss. Ideally, you should take a drinking break every 30 minutes, even if you don't feel thirsty.

The right snack when hiking
When hiking, you continually use energy. You should make up for this loss of energy regularly. That's why several small, easily digestible and carbohydrate-rich snacks such as nuts or dried fruit are important. Homemade muesli bars are also ideal. Anyone who suffers from leg cramps should take a banana with them or take magnesium. And then the time has come: the last bend, cross the ridge one last time and there is the summit! Every bead of sweat from the last few hours is forgotten in view of the breathtaking view. Now there's just one important little thing missing from the perfect summit experience: the perfect hiking snack, which tastes so much better at lofty heights! Here you will find a few recipe tips for your summit happiness.
Cheese muffins made from a simple oil-buttermilk batter and herbs are ideal for a hike. Depending on whether you have one Emmentaler , or Bergkäse used, the taste becomes stronger or milder. Purely vegetarian or spiced up with ham, they taste delicious. Alternatively you can use ours Cheese snails with peppers and processed cheese bake and take with you. Also our popular one Ham and cheese omelette with eggs, peas, ham and mountain cheese is a perfect picnic for the summit break. Or how about a salad? Preferably one that still tastes good even after hours on the road. For example one autumn salad with grapes and walnuts and our WOERLE Emmentaler.
Finally, some good news: During and shortly after exercise, our body burns simple carbohydrates particularly quickly. So you can eat the summit chocolate without feeling guilty. 😉
