Cooperation for biodiversity

For a long time, motivated WOERLE farming families have been working together with our cheese dairy and external experts as part of the "Biodiversity in Farmers' Hands" project to counteract the dramatic decline in native animal and plant species. In the agriculturally used grassland, the farmers themselves decide what happens where and consciously give nature the chance to be "nature" again.

We all agree"We can only secure our future with a multi-layered biodiversity and we hope for many imitators in the population".

WOERLE continues to work ..

Since 2021 we are looking forward to two closer cooperations with 2 communities of our milk suppliers. In the coming years, we would like to contribute not only to the preservation of our small-structured cultural landscape, but also to securing local food production by networking between the population and our farming families and by treating nature with respect.

Cooperation Henndorf: Municipal initiative "Henndorf is blooming"

Gerrit Woerle and Henndorf's Mayor Rupert Eder decided this year to cooperate with the "Henndorf in bloom" initiative and the WOERLE project "1.000 life rafts for the diversity of species". In the next few years, we want to create awareness through various campaigns as part of the networking of both projects and motivate the people of Henndorf to imitate our dairy farmers. Many thanks for the cooperation to Mayor Rupert Eder and of course the entire team.

Cooperation Perwang: Natural design of the local park

In the first year, it was decided to jointly upgrade the Perwanger local park with its old stock of trees both optically and ecologically. This year, a wildflower meadow, an insect hotel, a deadwood pyramid and a hedge of native shrubs were created in the local park. Here, too, we want to create awareness and motivate people to take part. Many thanks to Mayor Reinhard Sulzberger and Deputy Mayor Angela Eidenhammer as well as the entire team for the nice cooperation. We look forward to more great projects in the years to come.
