A look behind the scenes: Practical workshop “Good living and working on the farm”
What defines a good coexistence on a farm? How can traditional values and modern approaches harmonize and thus promote a fulfilling and understanding coexistence on the farm and in society? On the last weekend in April, WOERLE farmers met to find and discuss innovative solutions to these questions.
What does it take to ensure good coexistence on a farm and in society?
Farmers' working days are filled with countless tasks and obligations. Many feel more controlled than self-determined. Personal freedom and scope for action seem to be shrinking, while economic pressures are increasing.
A key focus of the discussion was the systemic interrelationships on the farm, which were presented by speakers Susanne Fischer and Erhard Reichsthaler. Both experts led the participants into a discursive exploration of how essential communication really is for harmonious coexistence and efficient work on the farm, and how important it is to create spaces for self-determination despite daily challenges. This suggestion, according to the positive response, not only strengthens the individual but also positively influences the image of agriculture in society.
The practical workshop took place in cooperation with the educational partner LFI Salzburg.
Many thanks to the two competent speakers and all committed participants!
