We introduce: Apprentice Moritz
Today we introduce you to Moritz, our apprentice in food technology. He loves the varied daily routine and that everyone takes time for him.
How long have you been working at WOERLE?
Since September 2021
In which department do you work or for which tasks are you responsible?
Im Schmelzwerk is the name of the department that handles processed cheese. Here I get to know different machines that are used for filling and packaging. Originally I wanted to be a mechatronics technician, but because I'm color blind I can't do this job and that's how I got into food technology. Now I'm very happy that it turned out this way, because I really like my teaching job.
How does your perfect working day start?
With a smile, even when I'm on the bus and driving to work.
What does your typical daily routine look like?
I change, stamp in, go to the shift manager at Schmelz and find out which areas I am allowed to be responsible for today. Otherwise, my daily routine is very varied... I have to check that all labels are attached, make sure that the cheese meets all the required quality criteria And much more
What is exciting about your job?
That it is so versatile and every daily routine is different.
What has been your best experience at WOERLE so far?
Every time you walk into the company you are welcomed with open arms and everyone makes time for you.
You work in Henndorf, not far from Wallersee. What makes this area special from your point of view?
It's really interesting to see how closely my field of activity is linked to the region. Since many of our farmers are in the immediate vicinity, you can see directly where our milk comes from and have a completely different relationship to the raw material that we work with every day.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Reading, playing the cello, spending time with my family and friends.
If you had to go to a desert island, what three cheeses would you take with you?
Tilsit, Gouda and Mondsee.
Can you tell us your favorite cheese dish?
Käsespätzle (cheese spaezle)
